When you run your own WordPress-based website, be it for retail moneymaking purposes or just as a personal blog to keep your friends and family up to date on your life, there are some plug-ins that can improve your experience. One popular plug-in is the SEO Image Galleries. This is a non-flash-based image gallery that allows you to import your photos into a gallery for easy labeling and categorization. It includes flexible options such as the ability to put your descriptive text at the top or the bottom of the image. It also offers a slider function, so that once you’ve loaded your pictures, a viewer can hit the arrow to move easily between pictures located either to the left or right of their current photo.

The image gallery has been designed to be easy to use for both the image master and the viewer. Loading pictures merely takes a gallery name and a category name, and the organization has been handled. Upload speed is average, and is affected by the size of the image file, of course. Once loaded, the images can be placed on whichever page is most suitable, whether it’s a dedicated, permanent image page, or one that is located on a “latest happenings” page. Last but not least, detailed image descriptions can be added. This is useful if you’re sharing photos that many people might want to see for various reasons. Since the Image Gallery doesn’t use flash, Google’s web searchers can “read” the text to match it to suitable keywords.

As for the viewer, the layout looks clean and slick. With a nice border around the gallery and thumbnail images below to guide their interest, it’s as easy to quickly view interesting images as it is to cook a microwave dinner. Simply press the button, or in this case, click on the image and a large image appears. Simple!
